Effective Communication -
Listening and Questioning Skills
The key to effective
communication is understanding what the other person is trying to say. You can
only do this through active listening and asking
intelligent questions. If you've ever been in a meeting where two
parties are just talking at each other you'll know exactly what we
mean.
If the person you are communicating with believes you are
genuinely interested in understanding their point of view you begin to
build relationships based on trust and respect.
This will making dealing with that individual and gaining agreement easier in
the future.
